Microsoft releases Copilot AI assistant for iOS and iPadOS devices

Microsoft released the new Microsoft Copilot application for iOS and iPadOS after its release on the Android platform. Now available on the Apple App Store, Copilot offers users advanced AI features, including integration with the DALL-E 3 AI image generator and access to OpenAI’s advanced GPT-4 model without a paid subscription.

The app provides access to Microsoft Copilot (formerly known as Bing Chat) and works similarly to the ChatGPT mobile app. In addition to traditional functions such as asking questions, composing emails and summarizing texts, users also have the ability to create images thanks to integration with the AI image generator DALL-E 3.

A key difference between Microsoft Copilot and the free version of ChatGPT, which uses the GPT-3.5 model, is access to GPT-4, the latest and more modern Large Language Model (LLM) developed by OpenAI. This allows Copilot users to benefit from the latest advances in artificial intelligence without signing up for a paid subscription.

Renaming Bing Chat to Copilot isn’t just a name change, it’s part of Microsoft’s strategy to create a separate AI service similar to ChatGPT. The launch of the program on various mobile platforms and the creation of a separate web interface for Microsoft Copilot, independent of Bing, underscore the company’s desire to offer users a more integrated and complete working experience with artificial intelligence.
