OnePlus is preparing to launch OnePlus Ace 3 on January 4, 2024 in China with a press conference scheduled for 14:30 (Beijing time). The company has been heavily promoting the upcoming OnePlus Ace 3 on Weibo and has revealed numerous specifications in its campaign. A recently released teaser shows that more interesting details about this highly anticipated smartphone are yet to be revealed.
According to the teaser, the OnePlus Ace 3 will have an ultra-thin in-display fingerprint scanner and protection against Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The device will run on its own ColorOS interface and will receive three major Android OS updates in four years.
In addition, the smartphone will be equipped with super linear stereo dual speakers and will support Dolby Atmos sound technology, providing high-quality sound. For location services, it will offer L1 and L5 dual-frequency GPS for improved accuracy and include the Beidou B1I + B1C + B2a triple-band system.
Earlier today, the company released another teaser showing that the smartphone will feature a 360° antenna for improved signal stability, which is especially useful for gamers. It will also support WiFi 7 for faster speeds and lower latency, and exclusive Game Cloud Computing with a 2-year free trial.
Additionally, OnePlus Ace 3 will be equipped with versatile NFC, which will allow users to use it from different angles. Other features announced include a ProXDR panel with Photo Matrix Display technology, a rain-sensitive screen for use with wet hands, and the release of various limited edition accessories.
OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE X1 LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and impressive brightness levels. It is said to have a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro sensor and 16MP front camera.
Under the hood, there may be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. It may be renamed as OnePlus 12R in the global market. Color options include Sand Gold, Star Black and Lunar Sea Blue.
