The LG CineBeam Qube is a portable, compact and lightweight projector that projects up to 4K content, promising “quickly turn any indoor space into a cinema”.
LG has committed to minimalism and a retro aesthetic with its new portable monitor. It has a 360-degree rotating handle, which together with compact dimensions and low weight (80 x 135 x 135 mm and 1.49 kg) allows you to conveniently carry it anywhere and place it in the desired room.
The LG CineBeam Qube is equipped with an RGB laser light source that allows you to project images with resolution 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) on the surface up to 120 inches. It features a contrast ratio of 450,000:1 and 154 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Its maximum brightness is 500 nits, which is perhaps the most discreet part of the premium projector average.
The projector is equipped with an automatic adjustment of the projected content and an automatic focus function that automatically optimizes the position and size of the image for the best viewing experience in all circumstances.
LG uses the same operating system as its Linux Mobile line of TVs webOS 6.0, which promises intuitive and easy controls to access a selection of streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or YouTube. When not in use for content consumption, users can leave the projector on with the image mapping function and customize the environment of the device where it is installed.
“Ideal for spaces large and small, the LG CineBeam Qube is a unique lifestyle projector that has all the features consumers are looking for when choosing a new projection solution.”says YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT business unit at LG Electronics Business Solutions Company, when announcing the new projector.
No sale price or availability was given. LG will exhibit it at CES 2024 and we will certainly be able to add information there.
