Major Taiwanese component manufacturers have confirmed the launch of GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER graphics cards. It was a foregone conclusion and they will hit the market afterwards NVIDIA will officially introduce them on January 8 as part of Las Vegas CES 2024. There is also talk of an economical card RTX 3050 6 GB and RTX 4090D, a version of its top line exclusively for the Chinese market.

We have already told you about these special ‘SUPER’ series that NVIDIA usually launches to boost various product lines. They use the same architecture as the regular series, but usually increase your performance with higher operating frequencies, memory speed or other settings. If the first RTX 4070 SUPER from ASUS leaked a week ago, today we bring you more from the rest of the major manufacturers.

On the one hand, GIGABYTE product listings on the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) website confirm the launch of “Super” versions of the current 4070, 4070 Ti and 4080. As for MSI, we have listings that speak of up to 12 different models, with two or three cooling solutions fans and custom designs.

GeForce RTX 40 SUPER, features

From what we know so far, these would be three new models that would expand the range of 40 series cards: RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4070 SUPER. We’ve known its unofficial specs for weeks now, and the latest listings confirm the following:

GeForce RTX 4080 Super

  • Manufactured by TSMC in 5 nm.
  • Graphics core AD103-400.
  • 10,240 shaders at an unspecified frequency.
  • 320 texturing units.
  • 112 raster units.
  • 320 tensor cores of the fourth generation.
  • 80 cores of the third generation RT.
  • 320-bit memory bus.
  • 20 GB of dedicated GDDR6X memory.
  • TGP 320W.

GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super

  • Manufactured by TSMC in 5 nm.
  • Graphics core AD103-275 or AD102-175.
  • 8,192 shaders at an unspecified frequency.
  • 256 texturing units.
  • 96 raster units.
  • 256 tensor cores of the fourth generation.
  • 64 cores of the third generation RT.
  • 256-bit memory bus.
  • 16 GB of dedicated GDDR6X memory.
  • 285W TGP.

GeForce RTX 4070 Super

  • Manufactured by TSMC in 5 nm.
  • Graphics core AD103-175 or AD104-350.
  • 7,168 shaders at an unspecified frequency.
  • 224 texturing units.
  • 96 raster units.
  • 224 tensor kernels of the fourth generation.
  • 56 cores of the third generation RT.
  • 192-bit memory bus.
  • 12 GB of dedicated GDDR6X memory.
  • TGP 225W.

We see a significant increase in the number of CuDA cores (Shaders) as well as operating frequencies and memory bandwidth. The TDP consumption also increases in the case of the RTX 4070 SUPER, while the amount of dedicated memory is preserved compared to the standard versions, except for the 4070 Ti with an added 4 GB.

We don’t know the prices. They should not be too far from those set for the launch of standard models, but we will have to wait for official information. As we have already said, the arrival of the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER may reduce the final price of current models. We already told you.
