Stardew Valley is without a doubt AND Rare avis in the game world. In a time where we’ve unfortunately become accustomed to seeing games hit the market in a state that is far from optimal for marketing, and with developers who skimp on tweaks and updates, or who even get paid to make them. when they are a key part of game development. And it is in this context that Stardew Valley shines its own light.

In case you don’t know the history of this game by Eric Baron, better known as ConcernedApe, you should know that Barone started its development in 2012 with the intention of to create a farming title that offered what he, a huge fan of the genre, lacked in existing games that time. And so for four and a half years he devoted himself exclusively to its development, committing no less than 10 hours a day, seven days a week. And so, taking care of absolutely all elements of Stardew Valley himself, he finally released its first version in 2016.

Since then, and with countless updates and improvements along the way, Stardew Valley has, very deservedly, a huge community of players, the vast majority of whom rate with the highest marks. For example, the average of general and recent ratings on Steam has always given an “Extremely Positive” rating, which leaves little room for doubt. And although with the launch of the 1.5 update, Barone declared that it was ending its development, and shortly after we had the first news about its future Haunted Chocolatier, in April of this year he told us that there would be a new update.

As we already told you, ConcernedApe already announced that this future update will focus on providing new features for modders, quite an achievement considering how active this community is with Stardew Valley. But it won’t be the only one, as Barone himself confirmed via Twitter that we can also expect new dialogues. Pin? From what characters? At what times? We will see.

However, and in the thread from the tweet posted by Barone for New Year’s greetings, rumors have increased substantially Stardew Valley 1.6 will also bring a new festival. For those who haven’t played it, festivals are seasonal events that take place in the game and play an important role in terms of socializing our character in Pelican Town.
