South Korean company Samsung Electronics has introduced three new monitors for gamers: Odyssey OLED G8, Odyssey OLED G6 and updated Odyssey OLED G9.
This is stated in the company’s press release, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Samsung’s new Odyssey OLED gaming monitors will provide gamers with a more immersive gaming environment and innovative technologies that personalize their gaming experiences, meeting and exceeding their ever-changing needs,” said Hong Chun, Vice President of Visual Display Division at Samsung Electronics.
Odyssey OLED G9 is a 125cm curved ultrawide gaming monitor with DQHD (5120 x 1440 pixels) resolution, 32:9 aspect ratio and other updated features.
Other Odyssey OLED G8 is Samsung’s first flat 81.3cm OLED gaming monitor with 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.
Both screens have a 240 Hz refresh rate.
Odyssey OLED G6, on the other hand, is a 68.6-centimeter monitor with QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) that supports 16:9 aspect ratio and has a 360 Hz refresh rate.
It is stated that all three new models are equipped with OLED Glare-Free technology, which minimizes light glare and improves the viewing experience without the need for additional equipment, so users can play games with consistent brightness and color in almost any lighting condition.
According to GSM Arena, the company will announce its price categories at CES 2024, the world’s largest technology fair, which will be held by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) next week in Las Vegas, USA.
