The second beta version of iOS 17.3 that Apple released today is causing serious problems for some owners iPhoneso users who have not yet installed the new software may experience delays. As reported on the MacRumors forums on Twitter And On Mastodon, some “iPhone” owners trying to update to iOS 17.3 beta 2 found their devices stuck in a boot loop with a spinning wheel-hanging, blank black screen.
Upgrading to iOS 17.3 or iOS 17.2.1 seems to fix the problem, but users who do not have a backup may have problems restoring.
Apparently not all usersiPhone suffered because some iPhoneUpdated to iOS 17.3 beta 2 and there were no problems. Apple has not yet commented on this bug, but it is likely that the second iOS 17.3 beta will be shut down in the near future until the issue is resolved.
