Apacer presented its record-breaking solid state drives at Computex 2022. This was reported by PC Gamer.

Among the presented devices were two drives – under the brands Apacer and Zadak. SSD serial read speed is 13 gigabytes per second, write speed – 12 gigabytes per second. The drives have a PCIe 5.0 interface.

According to journalists, most likely, drivers use the recently announced Phison PS5026-E26 controller. The speed of the devices demonstrated by Apacer may be even higher – experts have noted that the “ceiling” of PCIe 5.0 is 16 gigabytes per second, but it often takes some time for the updated controller to make the most of the new features.

The drivers are equipped with an aluminum heatsink, but models can be equipped with an ultrathin graphene heatsink. Sales of the Apacer and Zadak consumer models are expected to begin by the end of the year. Their price was not disclosed.
