Following its first intervention at Computex 2022, MSI has announced even more innovations and has just announced more in its monitor catalog, which now features new MEG 342C QD-OLED, its first gaming monitor equipped with this panel technologyand is thus the third company in the world to present one of these products.
We are facing specifically 1800R curved screen with 34-inch widescreen QD-OLED panelwith an impressive resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels, high refresh rate 175 Hz and GtG response time 0.1 milliseconds.
Thanks to AMD FreeSync Premium Pro image enhancement technology instead of G-Sync Ultimate, we will also have other enhancements such as DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, which along with a maximum brightness of 1000 nits and color gamut DCI-P3 99.3%guarantees us unrivaled realism and quality.

So MSI wanted to differentiate the MEG 342C QD-OLED from the other two QD-OLED models present by adding some additional features that the Alienware monitor lacks, such as one USB Type-C input with DisplayPort Alt mode (with which we can use this port to connect screens), KVM functions and some specific MSI functions such as the dim blue light mode and what the company calls “Gaming Intelligence”, which we are waiting for more details. In addition, the MSI monitor also supports picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture.
In the end, it looks like the MEG 342C will come with factory calibration with Delta E <2, detail that although it will not affect the general experience of the gaming public, it will become more relevant for users who plan to use the screen to edit videos or photos.
Unfortunately, MSI’s announcement was limited to the first introduction of the MEG 342C QD-OLED, so for now no details of its initial price or availability date have been published in various international markets. And it is so that everything suggests that we can still see that it will be several months before we can update this data, yes, we will stay in 2022.
