In these last few years, Google and Microsoft are coming closer on some issues. If Apple has the ecosystem it boasts about, why wouldn’t they do something similar with their own operating systems? That’s why we’ve seen apps like Enlace Móvil to display notifications and manage both calls and messages.

But, If we focus on Samsung, the relationship with Microsoft looks more special. The Microsoft office suite has been included in the Galaxy S for several generations, and in addition there are various specialized applications for connecting our Samsung to a Windows PC. And we tell you how to do this and what each of them allows.

From call management to having full control of your Galaxy on your PC

The Enlace Móvil app is not new. It’s been with us for a while now and works great, but we’re telling you all this because a few days ago a new app appeared on the Microsoft Store called Samsung Phone.

This app is quite limited but definitely meets what many users are looking for.: Answer an incoming call from the PC. The experience promises to be quite positive as the connection is direct between the PC and the mobile phone. But there’s a problem with this app and other apps from the South Korean company available on the Microsoft Store: it only works on Galaxy Book laptops.

So, although Samsung laptops have Windows 11, Samsung limits compatibility with the system so that certain applications can only be used on its own PCs. But don’t worry because there are two ways to connect your Samsung mobile phone to a computer. One of them allows you to make and receive calls just like a Samsung Phone.

We have already mentioned the first one, which is ‘Mobile Link’.. It is an extremely easy-to-use application that will allow us to connect our Samsung to a PC. In this way, we can see and send messages, make calls and open any application on our mobile phone, we can also easily send files by dragging them from our mobile phone to our PC and mirror the mobile screen to Windows.

Samsung, on the other hand, has Samsung Flow. It’s an app you can download from the Microsoft Store and it’s very similar, but the method of mirroring the mobile device to the PC and controlling it with a keyboard and mouse works a little better

The first thing you need to do is download Samsung Flow on both your PC (we leave the link in the previous paragraph) and your mobile phone. It is available on both Play Store and Galaxy Store. Once we have it, we open it on the Samsung mobile phone, give the necessary permissions and go to the PC.

Click ‘Start’ on the PC app and it will start searching for devices. If Samsung Flow is turned on on your Galaxy, the search will not take long. We click on the name of our device and a pop-up will appear asking if we want to allow Samsung Flow to pair the device via Bluetooth. We say yes.

A new window will open on the PC containing the registration key and we need to go to the mobile phone to confirm said key and connect the devices. Once we both confirm the connection, the transaction will be completed.

The great thing about this app is that it has a feature called ‘Smart View’ This allows us to control the mobile phone from the computer. In fact, a window will appear that shows our phone’s screen in real time, so the connection goes far beyond just seeing notifications.
