Eleven people were injured Monday in an explosion at the Sandman Hotel in downtown Fort Worth. TexasLocal emergency services reported this.

Of those injured, one person was in critical condition, two were in serious condition and the rest had minor injuries, according to Fort Worth MedStar.

“We are currently working on a serious incident. Please avoid downtown,” the Fort Worth Police Department said on messaging platform X, adding that more information would be released later.

Officials did not provide details about the cause of the explosion but said a family reunion area had been set up in the Sundance Square pedestrian area. (Reuters).
