All models feature the latest Intel chips, Core i and Core Ultra, some combined with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series GPU.
At CES 2024, MSI will largely renew its laptop range with many new Prestige and Creator models. Everything is AI, including here. In addition to the AI features in the new Intel chips, MSI also provides an AI Software Suite package on every PC.
This software uses the integrated NPU of Intel chips to make AI decisions to better select the right settings for the PC depending on usage. The AI Artist feature can convert offline text into images and there is also better noise cancellation for the microphones during a video call.
MSI’s Prestige series focuses on portability and is typically used in the office. The Creator series is aimed at creative professionals who need more processing power, often with a separate GPU.
The MSI Prestige AI series can be divided into three screen sizes: 13 inches (OLED), 14 inches (IPS LCD) and 16 inches (OLED or IPS LCD). The Prestige 14 AI and 16 AI also have a studio version where you can choose between a separate graphics card up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 or RTX 4070.
Each laptop is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 or Ultra 9 chip and a full HD webcam that supports Windows Hello facial recognition. The 16-inch models have an SD card reader, the 13-inch model has a microSD card slot.
The smallest variant only weighs 990 grams despite the robust 75 Wh battery on board. Each model has WiFi 7 on board, which will become active as soon as the Windows 11 24H1 update is rolled out in April.
Neither price nor availability is currently known for MSI’s new Prestige series. The full list of specifications for each variant can be found here.
If you want more performance in the workplace, you can turn to MSI’s Creator series. The new models all have an Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series on board, starting with the 14-inch model with an RTX 4050 up to the 16-inch version with an RTX 4090. The absolute flagship in terms of GPU computing power is the MSI Creator 16 AI Studio, where you can choose between an RTX 4080 or an RTX 4090.
The fastest processor can be found in the MSI Creator Z17 HX Studio, an Intel Core i9-14900HX. You can connect this in a configuration with a maximum of one Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070.
Here too, MSI does not provide any information about prices or availability. The full list of specifications for each new Creator model can be found here.
