Information about the upcoming plans of the US National Space Administration has surfaced on the Internet. The agency announced the signing of the largest ever contracts for the purchase of satellite imagery from commercial companies.
The partners will reportedly be three companies, namely BlackSky, Maxar, and Planet. The exact amount of the deal was not specified, but representatives of the state agency said it was “billions of dollars”.
Billion-dollar contracts over the next 10 years are a historic expansion of the National Space Administration’s commercial image supply.
