During the press conference, CEO Cho highlighted the unique features of LG’s AI, starting with its ability to process large amounts of data in terms of both scale and quality. Many of the 500-700 million LG products currently in use worldwide are smart devices equipped with intelligent AI-enabled sensors optimized to learn and analyze users’ “physical” and “emotional” life patterns.

While many companies rely on materials on the internet to train their AI, LG has the advantage of being able to use “real world” data collected from billions of connected devices, including LG’s smart products and a wide range of IoT devices. Such a data set provides valuable information about consumers’ interactions with the device, as well as their environment, behavioral patterns, and emotional states. This type of multidimensional data also gives a company a more complete picture of users’ lives, allowing them to deliver better, smarter solutions for their lifestyles.

CEO Cho went on to explain the complementary role of LG AI Brain, a powerful data processing engine powered by LG’s Large Language Model (LLM). Powered by the company’s vast repository of user data, AI Brain predicts customer needs based on user-product interactions and contextual learning, performs advanced mental processes, and produces optimal solutions by coordinating the actions of physical devices.

Vice President Jung introduced LG’s artificial intelligence-based smart home project, starting from the housing sector. Setting out with the vision of transforming into a smart life solutions company, the company applies its unique Love Intelligence technology on the ThinQ platform. Mr. Jung not only introduced new innovative services such as ChatThinQ, a productive AI-based chatbot that enables convenient communication with customers, and 3D Home View, a three-dimensional visualization of the home for integrated intuitive space management, but also announced plans for the launch of the new smart home hub.

In the field of mobility, the company shared its vision of cars as “living space on wheels” based on software-defined vehicle (SDV) solutions. In line with this vision, LG VS president Yoon Seok-hyun introduced LG AlphaWare, a suite of software solutions for SDV. LG AlphaWare includes universal software modules to improve existing vehicle operating systems and help create new platforms; operational solutions that assist software developers throughout the entire process from development to release; in-cabin entertainment solutions that allow you to watch high-definition content with high-quality sound; HMI solutions with AR/MR and AI technologies to deliver immersive in-car experiences.
