Gigabyte is introducing new AI and HPC servers at CES through its subsidiary Giga Computing. The most striking new device is the G383-R80. This server supports the new AMD Instinct MI300A. AMD made this APU available to manufacturers late last year. The MI300A is a high-performance accelerator that shares 128GB of HBM3 memory with integrated Zen 4 CPU cores.
Gigabyte does not take sides and also allies itself with Nvidia and its super chip Grace Hopper. This is a direct competitor to the MI300A. This chip also combines GPU and CPU, but Nvidia uses ARM cores. Gigabyte puts the superchip in its XH23-VG0.

Then there’s the new G593: a server series equipped with Nvidia HGX H100 accelerators tailored for AI. This bulky server requires 5U of space in your server rack. Finally, Giga Computing will show the G493-SB0 at CES. It has a modular design, accommodates eight dual-slot Gen5 GPUs and can handle various intensive workloads.
Computing power and HPC servers are Gigabyte and Giga Computing’s strengths, but we’ll also see a new storage server at CES. This is the S183-SH0. The device must support LLMs and offers space for 32 E1.S NVMe SSDs.
