OpenAI is introducing a new subscription for small teams called ChatGPT Team. It offers access to the latest OpenAI models at a cheaper price than ChatGPT Enterprise.

OpenAI’s new ChatGPT subscription is specifically aimed at small teams of up to 149 people. It provides users with a workspace and includes the latest models of ChatGPT. This plan is much cheaper than ChatGPT Enterprise at $30 per user per month, compared to $60 per user per month.

Access to the latest OpenAI models

ChatGPT Team offers users access to all the latest OpenAI models, namely GPT-4, GPT-4 with Vision and DALL-E 3. This new subscription allows people within a team to create and share GPTs without having any programming experience. The subscription is self-service and includes admin tools for team management.

Another advantage of this subscription, according to OpenAI, is that it has unspecified new features and improvements, and the models do not train based on internal conversations or team data, so they remain confidential.

Cheaper alternative to ChatGPT Enterprise

The Team plan costs $30 per user per month or $25 per user per month when billed annually. This is much higher than the price of OpenAI’s individual premium subscription, namely ChatGPT Plus, which is $20 per month. However, for smaller teams, the Teams subscription is an interesting option as ChatGPT Enterprise costs $60 per user per month with at least 150 users.

This team-oriented ChatGPT feature is an interesting alternative for small and medium-sized customers. This way, they can continue to take advantage of the latest ChatGPT features without having to pay the premium price of an Enterprise subscription.
