According to the report of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), the density of employing industrial robots per 10,000 workers in the world’s countries has reached a record level: 151 robots per 10,000 people.
“Robot density data shows the state of automation around the world and allows us to compare regions and countries. The pace of adoption of robotics in businesses around the world is impressive: the new global average robot density has reached an all-time high of 151 robots per 10,000 employees; This is more than double what was measured just six years ago,” said IFR President Marina Bill.
According to IFR, South Korea became the most automated country in terms of the number of robots in 2022. Robot usage density in the country was 1,012 robots per 10,000 employees. South Korea’s robotics industry is still evolving. Since 2017, robot usage intensity has increased by an average of 6% every year.
South Korea is followed by Singapore with 730 units per 10,000 employees.
In 2022, Germany was the third most automated country with a rate of 415 jobs per 10,000 workers.
As reported by Ukrinform, South Korean company HL Mando, which specializes in components for electric cars and unmanned vehicles, is developing Parkie, an autonomous robot that can park the car on its own.
