Microsoft brings Weather Experience to Windows 10

Windows 10 users are about to get more weather information from the lock screen. The new preview build of Windows 10 is now available to Insiders in the Release Preview channel. The update includes dynamic interactive weather updates. For example, if you hover over weather on the lock screen, you’ll see more information about that day’s weather.

If you’re signed in, Microsoft Edge will open with the full forecast in MSN Weather. This feature will be enabled by default unless your lock screen is set to None.

Windows Central notes that Windows 10 still has around 1 billion active devices in circulation, which is much more than the 400 million devices running Windows 11. Therefore, it is not surprising that Microsoft is considering bringing this feature to Windows 10 as well.

Along with the weather feature, Windows 10 Build 19045.3992 also adds an eye-tracking settings feature that allows you to back up the settings on your previous device when setting up your new device and then automatically install them on your new device. The build also includes a number of bug fixes.

Although Microsoft had previously announced that it was done updating Windows 10, it announced in November that it plans to bring Copilot AI to Windows 10 as well. Microsoft’s end of support date for Windows 10 is currently scheduled for October 14, 2025, but extended support will be available. for a fee.
