The MateBook D 16 2024 keeps the screen 16-inch IPS his predecessors. The size the industry is betting on to offer the display capacity of previous 17.3-inch models, but reduce its footprint to dimensions similar to 15.6″.
To do this, the manufacturer trimmed the screen bezels to achieve a 90% chassis ratio. The panel has a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and supports 100% of the sRGB color gamut. The new Matebook also slimmed down the aluminum chassis to a thickness 17 mm and weight 1.68 kg. It has a 180-degree hinge to unfold the laptop on a table and support collaboration.
It contains a processor inside Intel Core i9-13000Ha high-performance model from the “Raptor Lake” series, with 14 cores and 20 threads, with 24 MB of cache and a working frequency that can reach 5.4 GHz. It has integrated Iris Xe graphics and is complemented by 16 GB of RAM and an SSD with a storage capacity of 1 Tbyte.
As regards connectivity, has a full keyboard (including numeric), backlit and a good sized multi-touch touchpad. The power button includes a fingerprint sensor, two USB Type-C ports (one for charging and data), one USB 3.3 Gen1, and an HDMI output. It has stereo speakers and two microphones, a headphone jack, and a 1080p webcam with AI support. Its battery is 60 Wh.
The laptop comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Home and is available in Spain in gray. Its price with the specified configuration (Core i9 + 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD) is 1,399 euros. As part of the promotional campaign, HUAWEI is giving away FreeBuds 5 headphones and a 50 euro discount on your purchase until January 31.
The Chinese manufacturer offers other configurations of this version, the most attractive in terms of features/price is the one that includes an Intel Core i5-12450H CPU with 8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, for 699 euros. They are available on the HUAWEI website.
