The range of Copilot versions is expanding. Microsoft announces a cheaper subscription for SMBs and consumers.

When Copilot officially saw the light of day on November 1st, Microsoft had its sights set primarily on the enterprise market. Companies must have at least three hundred registered users and pay a premium of thirty US dollars per account. That amounts to about nine thousand dollars per month. Not every company has this budget or enough employees. That’s why Microsoft is announcing new formulas to let everyone share in the copilot fun.

The price remains at thirty dollars per month per user. You get a full Copilot with all the features of the Enterprise version, including the option to create your own chatbot with Copilot Studio.

Copilot Pro, without teams

The new Copilot Pro is contradictorily aimed at individual users. You can add a copilot to your 365 license for twenty dollars per month. There is one key difference: in the Pro subscription you don’t have Copilot for Teams, but in the Copilot for Microsoft 365 offering you do. Copilot can create real-time summaries, create meeting schedules, and assign follow-ups to people in Teams. Business users pay an extra ten dollars for this capacity. Expanding subscription formulas is a logical next step in Microsoft’s plans to make Copilot, in all its guises, available to everyone.
