CEOs are ready to take the AI ​​route, but are afraid of the risks involved.

An annual global CEO survey by Pwc shows that up to 45 percent of CEOs believe their company will not survive in 10 years if they continue on the current path. The majority believe that AI will improve the quality of their products and services. Inflation, macroeconomic volatility and cyberattacks are technology’s biggest risks for CEOs.

61 percent of US CEOs believe AI can improve the quality of their products and services. Additionally, a whopping 68 percent say this technology will change the way companies currently create value in the next three years. According to PwC, this technology represents an existential turning point, especially in times of new regulations, climate change and the need to reinvent business.

Risks

Although CEOs believe in the power of generative AI in the workplace, they are also aware of the potential risks. Inflation, macroeconomic volatility and cyberattacks are among the top three risks CEOs fear. In addition, increasing government regulations are playing an important role and there are fears that this set of new rules could hinder business model compliance.
