New AI commerce and marketing capabilities powered by the Einstein 1 platform help businesses improve the shopping experience.

At NFR 2024, Salesforce introduced a series of new solutions that improve the retailer and shopper experience using data and AI. With generative AI built into Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud, merchants can leverage generative AI tools, including real-time insights into customer behavior and preferences.

The Einstein-1 platform forms the basis and the engine. It connects to retail data and integrates with large language models (LLMs) to ensure real-time context, consistency, data management and security. Combined with data and AI-powered apps, this offers entirely new experiences for buyers, sellers and retail marketers.

Einstein Copilot for buyers

Einstein Copilot for Shoppers, a new extension of Einstein Copilot, is a consumer-focused version of the generative AI assistant that enables personalized conversations with shoppers. Natural language interactions on retailers’ digital channels, such as online stores and messaging apps, help customers find products and make purchases more quickly.

For example, a consumer may tell Einstein Copilot that they need camping equipment for a camping trip at a specific location and time period. Based on existing customer data, such as the shopper’s location and previous purchasing behavior, Einstein Copilot can recommend a tent that meets the expected weather conditions at that location during that time period.

Einstein Copilot for Shoppers is currently in a pilot phase within Salesforce and will be generally available by summer 2024.
