Tinder application, which is popular all over the world, belongs to the American internet company Match Group. In addition, the company has a number of other dating services focused on specific countries (France, Canada, USA and others).
As the company says, the last day of Tinder’s operation in Belarus is scheduled for: February 15.
Starting February 15, you will not be able to use Tinder services or log in to your account in Belarus. Until then you will be able to create pairs and chat,
– says the announcement.
It is clear that on the same day, users in the country will lose the ability to make in-app purchases, including new subscriptions. Old subscriptions will no longer automatically renew. Users who sign up for a long-term annual or semi-annual subscription will be offered a refund.
I wonder what the company does not mention the reasons for termination of work in Belarus. Probably the same as all the other companies that left the country before: helping Russia in the war against Ukraine. It’s unclear why Match Group delayed this for so long.
We will remind you that Tinder leaves Russia in June 2023. The company announced this in May and then gradually discontinued its services. Contrary to the announcement of the withdrawal from Belarus, Match Group hinted at the time that the reason for stopping work on the occupier market was human rights issues.
