Motorola announced the launch of the Moto G Play 2024. A new version of the basic terminal focused primarily on multimedia playback, which will be sold for acceptable price of 150 dollars which undercuts the $170 2023 version.

The Moto G Play 2024 follows the design line (without the complications) of the previous versions, with a flat bezel, volume button and power button on the right side and a SIM card slot on the left side. The power button also doubles as a fingerprint reader.

At the bottom, it has a USB-C port, flanked by a microphone and two speakers Compatible with Dolby Atmos. It has Corning Gorilla 3 protection and is IP52 certified against light splashes of water. On the top, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot.

The screen is a 6.5 inch touch IPS with a native resolution of FHD and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Inside it presents another interesting novelty, the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, which should improve the performance of the MediaTek Helio G37 from the previous version. It is supplemented by 64 GB for internal storage expandable with microSD cards up to 1 Tbyte.

Other innovations bring cameras with a rear, which has a 50-megapixel sensor and a front 8MP. Its battery is 5000 mAh with 15 watt fast cable charging, which should offer a lot of autonomy with these components and the screen.

Moto G Play 2024 pre-installs Android 13.
