January 17, 2024 — The new Charge Lite home charger from Easee, the Norwegian charging solutions manufacturer, is now officially available in Belgium. Easee developed this new product line thanks to input from partners and more than 60 million loads. This makes the Charge Lite the most accessible charger in the Easee range. The previously announced Charge Core and Charge Max will be released on the Belgian market later this year. Easee meets the needs of every electric vehicle driver: from individual electric homes to apartment complexes and office parking garages.

The Easee Charge Lite is very user-friendly and the charging process can be easily set up and monitored via the associated app. In addition, the charger is future-proof and offers charging speeds of up to 11 kW on a 3-phase power supply or up to 7.4 kW on a 1-phase power supply. This makes the Charge Lite one of the most powerful single-phase chargers currently available on the Belgian market. With the Charge Lite, Easee wants to make the switch to electric cars more attractive for consumers.

Based on Scandinavian design

The home charger offers the ease of installation and use as well as the elegant Scandinavian design that Easee chargers are known for. The car charger is also designed to withstand even the harshest weather conditions. The charger supports all electric vehicles, phases, power networks – and in combination with the Easee Equalizer also all energy meters. The equalizer is a device that allows you to make optimal use of the energy available in your home and from your solar panels or home battery for charging. So users don’t have to worry about compatibility when switching electric vehicles or changing their home electrical system.

The Easee Charge Lite is the first charger in Easee’s new product line. This line was developed based on partner input and data from more than 60 million Easee charging sessions. Erik Skaardal, product manager at Easee: “Our data showed that most people charge their cars at home at a rate of less than 11 kW. Having established this, we turned our attention to determining the other characteristics that are most relevant to households with one or two electric vehicles. The Charge Lite meets the needs of a large segment of the home charging market.”

Always up to date

The Charge Lite has “local Bluetooth”. This allows users to control their charger locally without being online. When users are within range of their charger, they can start or stop charging, check charging information such as charging speed (power in kW), and unlock and lock the charging cable. The Easee Charge Lite also receives continuous OTA firmware and software updates, so your charger always has the latest software.

The Charge Lite is available now for €699 (including VAT) via Easyee.com and affiliated partners.
