GSC Game World has confirmed the release date of STALKER 2 Heart of Chernobyl, one of the most anticipated games and also one of the most delayed. Initially its launch expected in 2021in fact, it was supposed to be one of the most important first batch games for the Xbox Series X and Series S, but it ended up being delayed several times.

Coming back to STALKER 2 Heart of Chernobyl, its release is confirmed September 5, 2024. This game uses a graphics engine Unreal Engine 5, and on a graphical level it borders on the high level, at least according to the first videos and images we had the chance to see. Minimal requirements

• Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i5-7600K processor.
• 8 GB of RAM.
• Radeon RX 580 or GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card (minimum 6 GB VRAM).
• SSD disk with 150 GB of free space.

There is an equivalence error in the CPU because The closest to the Intel Core i5-7600K is the Ryzen 3 2300X. With this configuration, the game should run in 1080p with low quality and a relatively stable 30 FPS.

• 16 GB of RAM.
• Radeon RX 5700 XT or GeForce GTX 1080 Ti-GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER graphics card (minimum 8 GB VRAM).
• SSD disk with 150 GB of free space.

The equivalences are not bad, but it should be taken into account that the Ryzen 7 3700X has 8 cores and 16 threads, and the Intel Core i7-9700K has 8 cores and 8 threads. In raw power, the three graphics cards play in the same league, unless technologies that only the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER support, such as mesh shaders, come into play.

With this configuration, the game should run 60 FPS in 1080p with very high or maximum quality. These requirements are the same as we saw when the game was announced in 2021, so keep in mind that they may change when the final version is released.
