Adobe introduces new AI-powered audio editing tools in Premiere Pro, including IInteractive fade handles, sound badges and CLip badge. Get faster results with fewer clicks.
Audio editing in Adobe Premiere Pro becomes more efficient with Adobe’s new AI-driven changes. The new features include Interactive fade handles, sound badges And Clip badge, optimizes the audio editing process. The aim is not to automate these processes, but rather to give editors more space for creativity. The new features are already available in the beta version of Premiere Pro.
AI-powered audio features
A first not unknown function is that Improved language This automatically removes unwanted noise and improves poorly recorded dialogue. This feature was released in the beta version of Premiere Pro back in September 2023, where you can still try it out. The Improved languageThe tool will be generally available to all Premiere Pro customers in February. Other new features include:
- Interactive fade handles: Allows editors to create custom audio transitions more quickly by dragging clip handles to create crossfades.
- New Essential Sound badge with tags per audio category: Using AI, audio fragments are automatically labeled as dialogue, music, sound effects or atmosphere. An icon is added here so editors can immediately access the correct controls per audio type.
- Clip badge: These visual indicators make it easier to see which clips have effects and allow new ones to be added quickly
- New waveforms in the timeline: The waveforms are resized to fit the track height of the clip.
Premiere Pro Beta
To take advantage of these new features, you’ll need access to the Premiere Pro beta. This is a standalone application available to anyone who has a Creative Cloud subscription to the Premiere Pro app. This application can be found in the Creative Cloud desktop launcher and downloaded here. This allows you to experiment with the new features before they appear in the main Premier Pro app.
