Since the beginning of this year, Kyivstar has built 108 new base stations to improve communication quality.

In particular, 53 base stations were built in cities in western Ukraine, and 27 in the regions of Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv and Cherkasy. 20 base stations were built in eastern Ukraine, most of them in the Kharkiv region. 8 new base stations were established in the south of Ukraine.
It was noted that due to the expansion of the network, the company was able to provide better communication in areas with increased traffic. Thus, approximately 5 million subscribers, who were in big cities before the war, migrated to rural areas in their own regions. And about 4 million subscribers moved to other regions, mostly to western Ukraine.
Also, according to the company, during the conflict, its experts eliminated tens of thousands of emergencies resulting from damage to telecommunications infrastructure. The press service said that currently 95% of the company’s telecom infrastructure operates full-time, providing mobile communications and high-speed Internet to 26 million subscribers. In total, in the first quarter of 2022, Kyivstar invested UAH 659 million in the construction and development of a mobile communication network in Ukraine.
In addition, it is stated that since February 2022, the company has provided subscribers with free services and bonuses in the amount of the equivalent of 425 million UAH, and transferred more than 33 million UAH to the army, hospitals, the elderly and people to help. war victims.
As reported, Kyivstar is Ukraine’s largest electronic communications operator, serving 26 million mobile subscribers and over 1 million Home Internet subscribers as of March 2022. The company provides services based on a wide range of mobile and fixed technologies, including 4G.
