Therefore, the Exynos 2400 has a 10-core processor configuration that includes a powerful Cortex-X4 core running at 3.2 GHz, as well as two Cortex-A720 cores running at 2.9 GHz and three Cortex-A720 cores running at 2.9 GHz. 2.6GHz. There are also four Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 2GHz for efficiency.

Samsung had previously confirmed that the new chipset offers a 1.7x increase in CPU performance. And the combination of powerful cores in the chipset looks promising. But we’ll have to see how it performs in real-world situations, especially when compared to its main rival, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

In any case, the Exynos 2400 is built on Samsung’s latest 4LPP+ process and uses FOWLP packaging technology, which aims to improve performance and power consumption.

For graphics-related tasks, the Samsung Xclipse 940 GPU, built on AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture, has features like hardware-based ray tracing and AI scaling that promise more immersive visuals.

While specific details such as WGP count and clock speeds were not disclosed, Samsung claims that the GPU can handle 4K gaming at 120fps or 1440p gaming at 144fps on external displays.

The Exynos 2400 also touts a greatly improved NPU, claiming a 14x performance increase over the previous model. While the exact number of TOPS is unknown, it uses a combination of shared and dedicated AI processors. For photography enthusiasts, the chip supports a stunning 320MP camera sensor.

Exynos 2400 will power some Galaxy S24 and S24+ models worldwide, except for certain regions such as the US, China, Canada and Japan. While some important details remain unknown, the announced specifications show a processor capable of handling complex tasks and providing advanced gaming capabilities.
