South Korean company Samsung Electronics is developing the Galaxy Ring, a health engagement ring that is scheduled to be released this year.
As reported by Ukrinform, Yonhap.
According to Tae Moon Roh, head of Samsung Electronics’ mobile division, Galaxy Ring is more suitable for long-term use than Galaxy Watch and can last longer because the device will focus only on health functions.
“Galaxy Watch has its advantages, but some consumers are uncomfortable having to wear a watch all the time, and therefore Galaxy Watch is not enough to send important health information to Samsung Health and analyze it 24/7/365. That’s why we need a wedding ring,” Roe said.
The Galaxy Watch is said to be a Samsung smartwatch with various health and fitness features as well as a remote control for the smartphone.
The presentation of the Galaxy Ring is planned for later this year.
According to Ukrinform, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra phones equipped with artificial intelligence tools based on Google’s Gemini technology at the Unpacked conference held in San Jose (USA).
