Philips is expanding its E1 monitor line with four new screens. The screens are ideal for those who want to expand their viewing space without spending a lot of money.

Philips today announces four new E1 series displays: 24E1N1300A, 24E1N1300AE, 27E1N1300A and 27E1N1300AE. As the product names suggest, there are two 24-inch (23.8-inch to be precise) and two 27-inch screens. With recommended retail prices under two hundred euros, they offer a cost-effective way to expand your imaging setup at home or in the office. The screens with “AE” in the name have an adjustable monitor stand.

The four screens have similar specifications. Each model supports FHD picture quality, a 100Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response speed. The refresh rate is adaptive. Philips has tried to keep the screen bars as thin as possible; the bottom one is only 9.5 mm thick. The monitor manufacturer is blindly jumping on the hype bandwagon to make blue light its arch enemy with a “Low Blue” mode.

Connectivity was also taken into account. The screens are equipped with a 65W USB-C Power Delivery port. This allows users to charge their connected device simultaneously while working with a single cable.

Prices and availability

The Philips 24E1N1300A and 27E1N1300A will be available from mid-January at a recommended retail price of 169 euros and 189 euros, respectively. The Philips 24E1N1300AE and 27E1N1300AE will be available from February at a recommended retail price of 179 euros and 199 euros, respectively.
