For the first time, Iran has successfully placed a satellite with an altitude above 500 km into orbit.
Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Isa Zarepour said that the Gaim-100 missile ship has a carrying capacity of up to 100 kg.
According to him, Gaim-100 placed a research satellite weighing about 50 kg into an orbit at an altitude of 750 km during its third test launch.
The minister added that “Soraya” was the 10th satellite launched into space during the reign of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi.
As reported by Ukrinform, Japan launched a rocket with a government satellite to collect intelligence information that should monitor the movement of military installations in North Korea and improve response to natural disasters.
