Microsoft’s press service reported that Russian hackers managed to access a very small percentage of accounts. We are talking about the company’s corporate email. Accounts of senior management and employees responsible for cybersecurity were especially affected.

It was determined that hackers have been using a “password spraying attack” since the fall of 2023. In this way, they tried to hack the Microsoft platform itself and infiltrate the company’s system.

Fortunately, the hackers did not achieve their goals. Malicious activity was stopped very quickly. For this reason, intruders were immediately prevented from accessing the systems.

So far, there is no evidence that the attacker has access to customer environments, production systems, source code or artificial intelligence systems.
