I know some of you have realized this numbers do not add up, and you might be wondering where is Quake 5. Well, the answer will surprise you, but this game has been around for years and it’s called Quake Champions. The reception of this game was not very good, but id Software gradually improved it and today it has mostly positive reviews.
For many, it wasn’t the Quake 5 we expected, that’s for sure, but in the end it’s the next installment in the saga as was Quake III at the time, another title that was groundbreaking compared to Quake II, as it came directly without a single-player mode and was limited to multiplayer. Curiously, then came Quake IV, which offered an excellent campaign for one player.
By that logic, since Quake 5 was a multiplayer title Quake 6 of the franchise should once again have a very thorough story mode. Personally, I was never a fan of Quake III, and I only spent a few hours on Quake Champions to try it out, but ended up deleting it because I didn’t really like it.
If anyone doubts that this is a real Quake 6 reference, I invite you to look at the logo just below because is identical to that representing the said franchise. This logo is exactly what makes this link so clear and that there is no room for doubt. Unfortunately, I don’t have more information yet, but I can leave you with a prediction with some of the things I think we can expect from this game.
