The specifications of the alleged Nintendo Switch 2 Pro have appeared in internet rumors and are interesting, but as usual there is no official confirmation from Nintendo, so it is only for speculation.
The original Switch will be seven years old next March, and Nintendo must have been preparing the second generation for quite some time after the update that the OLED version came with. While the PS5 has outsold it and today has more competition thanks to the arrival of a good range of portable consoles, it is estimated that cumulative worldwide sales before last Christmas were approx. 150 million pieces. And many millions more in gaming revenue.
Nintendo still holds the guns. On the one hand, its ability to play in the living room and on the go, and on the other, the most important thing on the console: the video games themselves. Maybe that’s why Big N didn’t stand out among others in terms of hardware power, always putting the machine at the service of its game catalog and gameplay itself.

Nintendo Switch 2 Pro
Maybe this is how we understand that the specs we’re getting for this Switch 2 “Pro” model aren’t going to excite employees. They were compiled from various sources and are nowhere near what we as enthusiasts would have wanted from the Switch 2. very similar in concept, design and size to the current model.
According to them, the screen of the base model would be a 7-inch LCD, which would contain consumption, but would represent a drop in image quality compared to the OLED version, which will certainly also be launched. On the positive side, we would have a refresh rate 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of up to 1000 nits.
The internal hardware would be refreshed with a new NVIDIA SoC, model Tegra T239. It should have an ARM A78C octa-core processor combined with a custom GPU based on the Ampere architecture (used in the RTX 30 graphics) and support for ray tracing, DLSS 2 and also AMD’s FSR 3. 10 CPU cores would increase the performance to 2 TFLOPS with PS4 level performance and visual experience.
Nintendo would increase the RAM to 12GB and the console would be compatible with all current Switch games and accessories. In terms of availability, sources are betting on a launch this yearwhich confirms what we told you that the dev kit will already be in the hands of “hundreds” of developers.
We don’t have good news about the price, because it would increase quite a bit, up to $400. We will have to wait for official news from Nintendo.
