A new “Stolen Device Protection” function has appeared in the new iOS update.
This feature provides an extra layer of security to prevent thieves from accessing important accounts in case someone steals the device and obtains the password.
As mentioned, Stolen Device Protection, Face ID, or Touch ID must be used to access your saved passwords; Changing sensitive settings, such as your Apple ID password or device password, is protected by a security delay.
The owner of the device will have to wait an hour and then go through additional biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID).
The update also includes new wallpaper types, and Apple Music lets you collaborate on playlists with friends.
As reported by Ukrinform, Apple developers plan to add a mechanical button (Capture) to control the camera on the new iPhone 16 phone model.
