LEGO Fortnite gets its first major content update

LEGO Fortnite, due out in late 2023, will receive its first major content update on Tuesday. The update aims to fix some issues that will fix some rough patches. Despite the expected addition of new content, the game has improved significantly since the update as it fixes minor issues.

The LEGO Fornite update comes alongside the release of Fortnite update 28.10 on various platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Android and Nintendo Switch. The update includes new content, bug fixes, quality of life updates and LEGO styles.

However, LEGO Fortnite fans can expect the server to remain down from 9am to 11pm GMT on January 23 when the update is implemented. The update introduces LEGO versions of Fortnite Icon skins and includes bug fixes, gameplay features, items and balance changes. One notable addition is updates to Rocket Race, as well as Fortnite Festival and Battle Royale.

Patch notes for the LEGO Fortnite update (10/28) include:

  1. Mobile – Players cannot eat after throwing or pushing a crate:
    • LEGO Fortnite players using mobile devices may experience issues such as not being able to eat after pushing or throwing a crate.
  2. Other players may appear far away from you:
    • When loading into someone’s world, other players may appear far away from the world owner.
  3. “Join from lobby” may appear disabled:
    • When trying to join LEGO World from the lobby, you may see confusing messages, especially if you use multiple controllers or accounts on the same device.
  4. Villagers who do not work in the metallurgical plant:
    • The villagers assigned to work in the metallurgical factory fail to make progress and do not produce any results.
  5. The starting place is sometimes far from the resources:
    • Players’ first spawn points can sometimes spawn in the ocean, tundra, or desert rather than being close to resources.
  6. Error creating worlds:
    • Some players may encounter errors when trying to create worlds.

As the game continues to receive updates, it may appeal to a wider audience, especially those who enjoy casual and creative gameplay reminiscent of games like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Valheim.

With this update, LEGO Fortnite fans can expect exciting new content and enhancements that will strengthen the partnership between the popular game and the iconic LEGO brand.
