NASA, SpaceX and Northrop Grumman plan to conduct the next launch of the Cygnus spacecraft on January 29 to send scientific research supplies, food and equipment to the International Space Station.
This was reported on NASA’s website, Ukrinform reports.
The launch of the cargo ship will be carried out using the SpaceX Falcon 9 launch vehicle at 12:29 EST (20:29 Kiev time) from the SLC-40 launch complex in Cape Canaveral, Florida. It will arrive at the ISS on January 31.
As part of the mission, the Cygnus spacecraft will carry approximately 3.7 tons of payload to the ISS and will remain part of the orbital group until May.
This flight to the ISS will be the 20th flight of the Northrop Grumman company’s space “truck”.
As Ukrinform reported, in August 2023, the NASA Cygnus-19 spacecraft successfully docked with the International Space Station with cargo.
