The company promises to eliminate the consequences of today’s cyber attack on the IT systems of JSC “Ukrposhta” within days.
This was reported to the Ukrinform correspondent by the company’s general director Ihor Smilyanskyi.
“Since this is not our first experience, all procedures have been prepared. Currently, 96% of payments are accepted, there is no loss of data or money, all packages are sent. The only problem is that customers may not immediately see that the package has arrived in the mobile application. As soon as Naftogaz returns to normal, payments will continue immediately “We will. We should have everything back to normal within a day at most,” Smilyanskyi said.
He noted that this was far from the first cyberattack on Ukrposhta’s systems, and each time it took less and less time to overcome its consequences.
“This is already the 25th or 26th attack, I have stopped counting. We already have experience (liquidation of its consequences. – ed.) and we are doing everything in such a way that people do not feel such attacks. The maximum is noticeable in one or two zones. A year ago such a “If there had been an attack, the whole country would probably have stood up,” the company president emphasized.
Smilyanskyi added that certain conclusions will also be drawn from today’s attack and that each subsequent case of interference in the functioning of IT systems will have a much smaller impact.
“You may not even notice this attack,” Smilyansky emphasized.
As reported, this morning the gas supply company “Ukrainian Naftogaz” and LLC “Ukrainian Gas Distribution Networks” recorded a large-scale attack on one of its data centers. Recently, Ukrposhta reported a “major technical malfunction” in the company’s IT systems related to an attack on the partners’ information infrastructure.
