As reported by Ukrinform, the press service of the Southern Defense Forces reported this in Telegram.

“The other day, attacks were recorded on the state and commercial sectors of Ukraine. In addition, attacks by hacker groups financed by the Russian Federation were carried out on Ministry of Defense resources with the help of phishing, distribution of remote code execution malware and blocking access to web resources. Most of them are blocked automatically.” says the report.

As stated, the attack continues with the distribution of e-mails with the subject “Information from the Ukrainian State Special Service” and “Information from the Ukrainian State Emergency Service”, allegedly coming from the aforementioned structures. Additionally, malware distribution from the Gamaredon group of the GRU of the Russian Federation was detected with the aim of gaining access to personal and confidential user data and official information.

The press service warned of a possible cyber threat that could become critical for personal data and urged caution, especially when receiving letters and attachments from unknown sources that could hide malicious programs.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s gas supply company Naftogaz and Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC recorded a large-scale attack on one of their data centers.
