The Belarusian organization “Scientific and Production Center of Multifunctional Unmanned Complexes” introduced a new reconnaissance aircraft “Spotter-PB-3”. Made from composite materials, the UAV can reach a speed of 65 km/h and stay in the air for up to 90 minutes.
Company representatives state that the drone was designed specifically for special operations forces (SFG). The drone’s design includes composite materials and foam. This makes it possible to include the drone weighing 5 kg, as well as a portable tablet and a ground control station in the form of an antenna, in the backpack set of SSO fighters. When transporting the wing of the device, it is necessary to separate it from the body.
The Spotter-PB-3 fixed-wing UAV has a high-straight wing and a conventional tail section with horizontal ailerons and vertical rudders. An electric motor with a pusher two-blade propeller is placed in the middle of the high wing.
In the lower part of the fuselage in the center is an optical-electronic sensor consisting of a television camera or infrared camera, which extends during flight and retracts into the fuselage during landing. At the same time, an inertial navigation system is installed on the UAV. The device is launched from the hand and lands on the fuselage without a parachute.
Features “Spotter-PB-3»:
- operating range – 10 km;
- flight speed – up to 65 km/h;
- flight altitude – up to 900 meters;
- flight duration – up to 90 minutes.
