Hugging Face and Google are teaming up to give developers access to Google Cloud and its GPUs.

Hugging Face is an open source application development platform. Google recently signed a deal with Hugging Face to give users access to Google Cloud and GPUs without having to pay a subscription. Dell recently opened a portal on Hugging Face to provide companies with the resources necessary to run generative AI models on local servers. In recent years, Hugging Face has also worked with Google, Amazon and Nvidia, among others.

Hugging Face Deal Google

Hugging Face is a popular open source platform for AI developers. It hosts more than 350,000 models and includes some well-known models such as Metas Llama 2. Just as programmers publish their code on GitHub, AI developers can also upload and edit their models on Hugging Face.

Through the new partnership between Hugging Face and Google, developers can now build, train and deploy AI models without paying for a Google Cloud subscription. The Hugging Face deal means they now have access to Google’s cloud setup and the thousands of GPUs connected to servers like Vertex AI.

According to Google, Hugging Face users will be able to use Vertex AI and the Kubernetes engine “in the first half of 2024.”
