After early access and open beta, the official Color OS 14 is now available for Oppo K10 5G in India and Oppo A77 5G in Australia. ColorOS 14 stable update for Oppo A77 5G is now available in India. Interested users should hurry as the update is only available via invitation. The user needs to apply to get the official version of ColroOS 14 on any device.

There are many new features and fixes in the latest update. Along with the luxury of Android 14, Oppo is introducing some exciting additions to ColorOS 14. The new Aquamorphic design and Drag and Drop feature will definitely improve the user experience. Below is the official list of changes for ColorOS 14:

Water shaped design:

Improved sound effects, color systems and interactions.
Ten new Aquamorphic ringtones for calls, alarms and notifications.
Dynamically adjustable Aquamorphic Coloring System for a more intuitive perception.
Aqua Dynamics’ design extends to the status bar, simplifying interaction.

Updated Always on Display (AOD):

Homeland AOD showcases natural scenes, including the Go Green AOD, to raise awareness of climate change.
Environmental Vision sheets are based on daily step count.

Smart Touch and seamless content sharing:

Smart Touch touchscreen with artificial intelligence simplifies daily tasks.
File Dock in the Smart Sidebar sidebar for seamless content sharing with split-screen and floating window support.

Intelligent Image Mopping and Trinity Engine Update:

Intelligent Image Matting separates objects from images or frozen video frames.
Trinity Engine update improves the smoothness and stability of the device.

Smart charging with artificial intelligence and privacy guarantee:

The smart charging function reduces unnecessary battery wear by adjusting the charging current according to usage conditions.
Prioritize security and privacy when integrating features of Android 14.
Picture Keeper prevents apps from abusing permissions.

Integration with Snapchat:

Bitmoji AOD integration for faster app navigation and updates on your friends’ messages and actions.
How to apply for an upgrade:

Required conditions:

• Since the update may delete all important personal data, the user should create a backup copy of important data.
• Some applications may experience compatibility issues with the latest update based on Android 14. You should update all applications.
• To get the Android 14 update for Oppo K10 5G and Oppo A77 5G, both devices must have C.44/C.43/C.41/C.40/C.39 firmware installed.

Note: Some applications may not work properly and your device may get hot for a few days. Due to optimization after the update, the smartphone may consume more battery power, which may cause the phone to heat up and drain quickly.

Steps:

• Go to Settings > About device > Tap at the top of the page > Tap the icon in the top right > Tests > Official version > Apply now. Enter your information; Oppo staff will review and approve your device for upgrade.
• Once you have successfully applied, continue updating your device by going to About Device and selecting Download Now.
