Wedrones introduced the Karma drone to combat kamikaze drones. Developers described the drone as a cheap and effective system for destroying barrage munitions. Karma was designed to replace expensive anti-aircraft guided missiles.
The drone has an aircraft aerodynamic design with flat trapezoidal wings with fairing at the junction of the wing and fuselage. Tail feathers in the shape of an inverted letter V are mounted on two tail beams.
The drone’s speed is 250 km/h, maximum flight altitude is 5000 m, communication range is 100 km, flight duration is 2 hours. The drone is launched from the catapult and lands on the landing gear. It can be used again after returning to the launch site.
The drone is made of composite materials and is equipped with a reciprocating gasoline engine with a two-bladed pusher propeller located in the tail part of the fuselage. The manufacturer of the engine is a German company, the name of which the developers do not say. The preliminary cost of the system is 250 thousand dollars.
“We are confident that the hybrid drone will be in demand in the world market and will be able to compete with other similar products,” said the company’s representative. Source
