The collaboration between Eviden and Microsoft is intended to lead to the joint development and deployment of GenAI-based sector solutions in four priority sectors.

Eviden, the Atos Group division focused on digital, cloud, big data and security, announces a five-year deal with Microsoft. This significantly expands existing collaboration with new Microsoft cloud and AI-driven solutions for industries.

As part of this strategic partnership, both companies will jointly develop transformative solutions for data & AI, Copilot and the cloud. Both organizations aim to generate $2.8 billion in cloud services activity for Eviden over the next five years.

To achieve this, they focus on specific sectors such as financial services, automotive, manufacturing, energy and utilities, healthcare, life sciences and government.

There are six strategic areas that both will focus on:

  • Innovation in data and AI: Accelerate the transition to cloud apps with GenAI, Launchpad and Copilot.
  • Cloud services: The Eviden DevSecOps framework helps transform IT applications and provides additional flexibility and reduced cloud expenses thanks to FinOps.
  • Application infrastructure and innovation: Migrate and modernize existing customers with accelerators for rapid migration and application innovation.
  • Business applications: Modernize and innovate applications and new solutions thanks to AI with Power Platform and Dynamics 365.
  • Security: Accelerate security delivery with AIsaac (MDR) and other Microsoft technologies.
  • Accelerate SAP transformation: Implementation of SAP S/4HANA, a core component of RISE with SAP, and the migration of internal SAP systems to Microsoft Azure.

Eviden will educate and train more than 50,000 employees worldwide, resulting in more than 16,000 new Microsoft certificates over the next five years.

Eviden emerged from France’s Atos, which planned to split into two companies in 2022 amid protests from almost the entire C-suite. Last year it won the famous Jupiter contract, the first European exascale supercomputer.
