A few days before the launch of Vision Pro, popular video collaboration service Zoom announced the app Vision ProIt will be released on Friday, February 2. Remote meetings to help teams feel more connected to each other.
Additional Zoom in It will run on Vision Pro’s “infinite canvas” with a scalable interface that can be viewed in the real world or against a virtual background. The program supports Personas, which are spatial representations of the user in Vision Pro.
A character is created using the cameras in the Vision Pro and acts as a backup for the user during video calls. Personas resemble the user and can gesture, speak and react based on the Vision Pro user’s facial and hand movements.
Thanks to these features, Zoom users can “feel like they are in the same room with their colleagues and clients” without needing anything other than Vision Pro.
Later in the spring program Zoom in Support for sharing 3D files will be added and files can “come to life” Vision Pro. Team Chat integration is also planned, and eventually users will be able to pin up to five Zoom participants anywhere in their physical space. Backgrounds of pinned users will be removed, giving the impression that more than one person is in the same room. Zoom, Vision Pro will be available on the App Store.
