AOC G4 are a new series of monitors for which the Taiwanese manufacturer is including in its catalog playing games. They will be sold in two sizes and with Fast IPS panels as the most prominent component.
Successors to the G2 series and being marketed by the AGON by AOC brand, the manufacturer renews its basic line of gaming monitors with a new chassis and new Fast IPS screens, an interesting panel technology for the video game segment, as it allows to obtain the TN performance used in specific models for electronic sports and image quality and viewing angles of traditional IPS. With that, and although their focus continues to be games, they can also be used as general screen.
The AOC G4 will be sold in two models that differ in screen size. ANDl 24G4X with 24 inches and 27G4X with 27 inches. Both offer a native Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The focus on PC gaming is seen in their compatibility with NVIDIA G-Sync image synchronization technology, a GtC response time of 1 ms and a factory overclocked variable refresh rate to achieve 180 Hz. They also support HDR10 high dynamic range features.
AOC has refreshed its design with an inspired chassis “on a stealth plane” which leaves less space on the desk and is more modern and has reduced screen bezels on three sides, favoring the use of multi-monitor systems if the user needs it. Its base is also new and enables adjust height, pan, tilt and roll to user preferences. You can hang it on a wall or mounting arms with a VESA mount, and it includes built-in speakers and a headphone output for a more complete setup.
AOC includes G-Menu software, which allows users to easily change monitor settings using the OSD, which enables gaming features such as the new smart sight. The AOC G4s come with a three-year warranty and will be available from this month with prices to match 175 and 199 euros respectively. Very competitively priced to enter the manufacturer’s range of ‘gaming’ screens.
