Dell announces the launch of four new office headsets. There are two models with ANC and two without. Two models are wireless, two come with a cable:
The manufacturer mainly presents the Pro ANC models. According to Dell, these are “the smartest wireless and wired headsets in their class” as they have AI-powered features. The AI label is mainly a trendy marketing term that means the microphone has noise cancellation, which filters out background noise to make your voice sound clear. However, that doesn’t sound as groundbreakingly different from the noise cancellation in many other professional headsets as Dell wants to make it out to be.
The WL5204 and WH5204 also offer ANC, with the former going one step further with hybrid ANC that relies on feedforward and feedback noise cancellation for a higher frequency range. Additionally, the WL5204 can provide 78 hours of listening time on a single charge. Dell can include the Open Office certificate for Microsoft Teams as well as certification for Zoom with the headset. This is not a requirement for using a headset with a specific video conferencing platform, but it does give you better support between hardware and software.
The Dell WH3204 and WL3204 act as entry-level models. Dell plans to announce even more headsets in the coming months.
The four new Dell headsets are available now at the following prices (excluding VAT):
