Dynatrace acquires startup Runecast Solutions to enhance its existing security protection.

Dynatrace Inc., a technology company providing software intelligence platforms, today announced the acquisition of Runecast Solutions Ltd. known, a startup for security management with artificial intelligence. Dynatrace wants to integrate Runecast’s security technology into its platform. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of March, but the amount is not yet known.

AI-powered security solutions

Runecast is a security and compliance solutions startup that offers an AI-driven platform for security compliance, vulnerability assessment and configuration management in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Runecast’s major customers include Whirlpool Corp., Orange SA and Kingston Technologies Co. Inc.

Dynatrace wants to add Runecast technology to its platform. This allows the company to enhance existing contextual security protection and analysis. This enables customers to address the risks of misconfiguration and compliance violations in hybrid and multi-cloud ecosystems based on AI-driven, automated vulnerability assessments. The takeover is expected to be completed at the end of March.
