Occupation forces use PTKM-1R anti-tank mines against armored vehicles of the Ukrainian army. The photo with such a mine was published by the Ministry of State Protection of Ukraine. UDO soldiers continue to clear the territory of Ukraine from explosives.

«Our army is working to clear the Kyiv area of mines and finds artillery shells, mines and grenades wherever the Russian invader visits.“, – it is said in the description of the photo.

Mine PTKM-1R is designed to destroy armored vehicles in the upper hemisphere as they pass through the place where the mine is set up. Field of action – linear circular with a range of up to 50 meters. It is stated that the level of armor penetration is not less than 70 mm.

The mine consists of a shipping and launch container and a combat element. The mine is set up manually. The weight of the mine is about 20 kilograms. The transport launch container consists of a positioning device with 8 folding legs, a detonation device, a power source, a rotating platform with electric geared steering with 4 folding acoustic sensors attached to it, a piston and a charge.

In the transport position, the feet of the positioning device and the acoustic sensors are fixed in the folded state by a snap ring. The seismic sensor of the target is attached to one of the legs. The combat element consists of a “shock core” type warhead, a detonation device, a power source, two pulsed jet engines, infrared and radar target sensors.

The combat element is fixed in the guide of the transport and launch container. The warhead consists of a body, charge, detonation disperser and plating. Pulse jet engines are fixed at an angle to the axis of the warhead.

Principle of action

At the end of the construction period, the mine enters combat mode: the grip ring is reset, the claws open, the acoustic sensors of the target are turned on and the target is searched by the seismic sensor.

When approaching armored vehicles at a distance of 100 m from the place where the mine was laid, the seismic sensor detects the target and issues a command to bring the mine into combat position: the guide tilts 30 degrees from the mine axis, the acoustic sensors begin to work.

Acoustic sensors determine the direction of the target and issue a command to turn the guide to the target, and then track and guide the target. The target seismic sensor determines the distance to the target.

When approaching the target at a distance of 50 m from the minefield, the seismic sensor orders the warhead to be fired: the explosive charge is triggered, the powder gases affect the piston and remove the warhead from the guide at an angle of 60 degrees. horizon at an initial speed of 30 m / s.

After firing, a combat element is the search and defeat of the target:

  • Pulse jet engines are triggered while the warhead is not twisted.
  • Target search begins with infrared and radar sensors. Due to the rotation of the combat element, the surface is first scanned on the diverging and after ascending to the maximum height in the same spiral orbit. The combat element is driven by a parabolic trajectory with a maximum lift height of 30 m.
  • When the target is detected by the sensors, a command is given to detonate the warhead. This creates a shock core that hits the target at the top of the technique.

If there is no target after the specified time, the mine will self-destruct. Source
